Skin and aesthetic care in Bentleigh, Nurse-led by Founder and Registered Nurse Elizabeth Denton
Your skin doesn't exist separately from the rest of you. Hormones, age, sleep, stress and lifestyle all show up in how it looks, feels and behaves. So every skin plan at Lilibet starts with a proper skin assessment, not a product list.
Evidence, quality and patience. Not promises.
I grew up as the third generation of my family in the cosmetic and sunscreen industry. I learnt early what a product could honestly do, and what it couldn't. That still guides every treatment and product I choose.
What a skin consultation includes
A conversation about what has changed and what you'd like to improve.
A thorough assessment of your health history, lifestyle, sleep, skin routine and past treatments.
The bigger picture, such as hormones, sleep and lifestyle, where relevant.
A plan based on your health history, lifestyle, goals, anatomy and budget.
Procell MD microchannelling
ProCell Therapies Microchanneling is a minimally invasive skin treatment that creates fine micro-channels in the skin’s surface. It is used to help address concerns with skin texture, tone and elasticity. Results vary between individuals and depend on factors such as skin condition, age and lifestyle. A consultation with our practitioner is required to assess your suitability, and we will discuss the potential risks and recovery with you.
-
Your treatment begins with a consultation. Your practitioner will assess your skin, discuss your concerns and medical history, and confirm whether microchanneling is suitable for you.
On the day, your skin is cleansed and a topical numbing cream may be applied. The practitioner then uses a handheld device to create fine micro-channels in the skin’s surface, and applies a serum during or after treatment. Most people describe the sensation as mild prickling. A session usually takes 45–60 minutes.
-
The number of treatments varies depending on your skin and your concerns. A course of 3–6 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, is commonly recommended. Your practitioner will tailor a plan to you at consultation. Results vary between individuals.
-
Redness similar to mild sunburn is common for 24–48 hours. Some people also experience mild swelling, dryness or flaking for a few days afterwards.
-
As with any procedure that penetrates the skin, there are risks. These can include:
Redness, swelling, tenderness and pinpoint bleeding
Bruising
Dryness, flaking or temporary breakouts
Infection
Changes in pigmentation (darkening or lightening), particularly in darker skin types
Cold sore flare-ups in people prone to them
Allergic or sensitivity reactions to the products used
Scarring, which is rare
Your practitioner will discuss these risks with you before treatment.
-
For 24 hours, avoid makeup, exercise, heavy sweating, saunas and swimming.
For 5–7 days, avoid retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, vitamin C and exfoliants.
Use only a gentle cleanser and the products your practitioner recommends.
Apply broad-spectrum SPF 50+ daily and avoid direct sun exposure.
Don’t pick at flaking skin.
Contact the clinic if you notice increasing pain, swelling, pus, fever or anything unexpected.
Natural-looking aesthetic care in Bentleigh.
Aesthetic care should help you feel more like yourself, not less. The goal is that you look rested and refreshed, and that nobody can quite say why.
How I approach aesthetics
✦ A complete assessment first. I look at your skin, face and health before recommending anything.
✦ Enhance, don’t alter. Support what is already yours rather than change the face you know.
✦ Regenerate, don’t chase. Prioritise skin quality over quick trends.
✦ Treat for the long term. A plan that makes sense over years, not one appointment.
✦ Less but better. Only what is appropriate. Nothing for the sake of more.
Circadia skincare
Lilibet is a stockist of Circadia professional skincare, available in clinic and recommended after your skin assessment to continue your routine at home.
No pressure. Ever.
Your consultation is an invitation to talk, not a sales appointment. Not every option is right for every person, and sometimes the honest answer is "not yet" or "not at all". Recommendations depend on your individual suitability and what is clinically appropriate.
